Station Jingles

WMMM Fast Acapellas and WMMM Slow Acapellas (July 1984)

These were produced by JAM Creative Productions in Dallas for the switch over to AM Stereo. While the master tapes were in stereo, the cart decks used to play them in the air studio were mono. WMMM was still playing its MOR music format, supplied by Radio Arts as "The Entertainers" music format.

WMMM "Synchronism" Jingles - Part 1 and Part 2 (1987)

These jingles were placed on the air after the Grahams bought the station from Donald Flamm. These jingles were produced by TM Communicarions and had also been resung with the WCFS call letters in 1987. Due to poor timing on my part I was unable to procure a copy of these tapes before they were discarded.

WDJF 108FM "Z-Format" Jingles and WDJF 108FM 8-81 Jingles

These jingles were produced by Century 21 Programming in Dallas around the time WDJF replaced its air staff with fully automated operations. It has yet to be determined when the Z Format jingles first aired.

WDJF 108FM Radio Arts Jingles

These jingles were used in the last few years of WDJF until the station was sold in 1984. Other air staff had personalized "jock shouts", but the master reel I was lucky enough to obtain only had the ones included here. The station used the Radio Arts "American Rock" automated music package when these jingles were used.

Fun Stuff

John Labarca Falls Down Stairs

This cart was kept on hand when someone decided to poke fun of morning man John Labarca. The air staff would kid about pushing John down the stairs (The station were located on the second floor). This fit perfectly, almost sounding like John himself was finding every step on the journey down!

108FM Toy Collection Parody - Produced by Jay Fink (1983)

Jay worked on the FM and was known for his creativity. Jay took this spot that asked listeners to donate gifts for the people at the Southbury Training School and came up with a bit of creative humor. Due to the age of this tape the beginning with Donna Baske's voice is missing. The announcer in this spot is WMMM/WDJF Operations Manager Gary Zenobia. Jay later went on to host the "Boomer Oldies Show" on Danbury's WLAD before he left the area.

NOTE: Due to technical issues with compatibility of old and new RealPlayer files, the audio files are currently unavailable. A solution is currently being investigated.
