The Charitable Emcee Passes Away

Robert A. Graham Jr., the man who co-owned WMMM during the last years it was operated as a commercial radio venture, passed away on Thursday, December 27th, 2007.

“Red“ Graham had been actively involved in a variety of charitable causes. Besides owning WMMM Radio, Graham operated Minuteman Travel in Westport.

Red was an accomplished in the entertainment field where his credits include writing for the Eddie Cantor Show and starring as “Archie The Manager“ in the Air Corp series of “Duffy's Tavern“.

Red's broadcast background includes chairman for WSTC and WYRS in Stamford, Connecticut as well as WREM-AM in Orlando, Florida. Red was president of WMMM Radio and co-owned the station with son and morning drive personality Mark Graham.

I would like to extend my sympathies to Mark and his family. I found Red to be one of the kindest men I have ever met and was also appreciative of the time he spent with me when we chatted. His talents and friendship will be missed by many.
